Prep I concluded their science topic of Rocks with work on volcanoes which culminated in making and erupting their very own volcanoes. They built and painted their volcanoes based on what real ones look like. Then using sodium bicarbonate, vinegar and red paint, built up the pressure in their ‘magma chamber’ for the lava to come rushing out and down the volcano. John would now like to be a volcanologist when he’s older.
