On Tuesday PIII put on a strong display of their musical ability in their afternoon form concert. Highlights were the polished string playing from the PIII ensemble alongside the debut performance of a PIII Wind Band, including many boys who have only just started their instrumental learning. The boys demonstrated their musicianship through song writing inspired by Sally Beamish’s ‘Bully Cat’ alongside performances of ‘Land of The Silver Birch’ and Henry Purcell’s ‘Fie Nay Prithee John’, both sung as canons complete with body percussion!
