Summer 2020

Summer 2020 Week 8: 12/6/2020

A Note from the Head of Monmouth School Boys’ Prep

We are aware that at this time of year, during a ‘normal’ school term, we would be increasingly coming off timetable and allowing the boys the freedom to enjoy a number of more creative activities, participate in performances and enjoy trips and events. Sadly, we are unable to do this due to the current crisis, but we do not want the Summer Term to lose some of its appeal and joy by adhering too stringently to a fixed timetable. As such, we have decided that next week will be the final week of regular timetabled lessons delivered via Seesaw and Teams. We will be introducing 2 creative and themed weeks during the final 2 weeks of term. The first will begin on Monday 22nd June and will last for 4 days, culminating with a virtual sports day on Friday 26th June. The second themed week will start on Monday 29th June and will culminate on Thursday 2nd July, followed by special lessons to recognise the last day of the academic year. More detail will be sent to you regarding the themed weeks, but your son will not receive his regular Seesaw timetabled activities. He instead will be given a host of themed activities, pre-recorded video lessons and some live sessions, when possible.
