Summer 2020

Summer 2020 Week 10: 26/6/2020

A Note from the Head of Monmouth School Boys’ Prep

Thank you for your terrific levels of engagement with the Mars Z project! As we head into the final week of our remote-learning programme, we are introducing a new creative themed project based on The Lost Words. We will be using the Otter, Wren, Bramble and Raven as our inspiration for a Science, Humanities, Music and Art project over four days from Monday to Thursday next week. Each day the boys will have a choice of 4 Science and Humanities lessons on Seesaw – we recommend that boys complete 2 of the 4 activities if they are able to do so. Running across the 4 days there will also be a cumulative Music and Art response to one of the Lost Spells, which will build each day into a finished combined piece by Thursday. Full information, video tutorials and guides will be available on Seesaw. We will also be hosting daily live sessions to guide the boys through the project and Mr Walton and Miss Forester-Bennett will be on hand for one-to-one technical support. On Friday we will be hosting special live sessions for every class and every year group to see each other one last time before the summer holidays.
