A note from the Head of Monmouth School Boys’ Prep
As my third year as Head of Monmouth School Boys’ Prep draws to a close I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on what has passed. The group of fine young men we sent on their way at the Prize-Giving ceremony were in Year 4 (formerly Prep II) the year I started and were the youngest boys in the school, Prep I, when I first visited The Grange for my job interview. This, therefore, brings the end of an era because they are the final year group who benefitted from Mrs Elaine Thomas’ wisdom, care and support during her final year before retirement. So, as we welcome new boys to the school in September, there may have been school name changes, changes in year group nomenclature, and new faces in the staffroom, we know that the heart and spirit of the school still stays strong as it always has. I wish you all a very happy and restful summer holiday.
