A Note from the Head of Monmouth School Boys’ Prep
Already this term, I have written about how proud I am to be a member of the Independent Association of Prep School (IAPS) with its long history of supporting and with some of the very finest educational establishments around the world. The IAPS began when a few Prep School Headmasters decided to meet to discuss and standardise the rules of cricket. Things have moved on a long way since then, but you may not be surprised to learn that discussing and standardising the rules of school sport still takes up a major part of discussions. Today, Mrs Phillips and I are proud to be attending the 300th IAPS Regional District (South West England and Wales) meeting in Padstow. This is a particularly significant event as it means that this meeting has been held every term for the last 100 years! An impressive record for any educational organisation. On my return I look forward to hearing the Grange Choir sing in the Monmouth School for Boys Harvest Chapel Service on Sunday morning.
