A note from the Head of Monmouth Schools Boys’ Prep

I am writing this in the beautiful city of Bayeux in Normandy, home of the famous Bayeux Tapestry. It is our last stop of the Year 6 residential trip as we head back to Cherbourg for the ferry home. I am sure that it has been very peaceful at school this week but the Year 6s have had a wonderful, action packed week in the sunshine. We have experienced French food and lifestyles, taken part in adventurous activities and learned about the incredible history of the Battle of Normandy following the D Day invasion in June 1944. We will be home soon and look forward to seeing you all!
