A note from the Head of Monmouth School Boys’ Prep
It has been a week of auditions, rehearsals and competitions as we gear up for our Eisteddfod (next week on Thursday 1st March) and our entries for Junior Monmouth’s Got Talent. We have started the Eisteddfod by completing the House Poetry competition. The winners will be rewarded by getting to perform their poems again on the stage of the Blake Theatre next week. For our open auditions for Junior Monmouth’s Got Talent we never know quite what to expect but this year we had some superb music in the form of talented folk arrangements, card tricks, comedy stand-up, live Lego modelling and even a Nerf gun target practice all in the eclectic mix of talent. And finally, the halls were ringing to the sound of songs from Oliver this morning as the Houses each practiced their entry for the House Song competition. Do come along to join us on Thursday from 1.00pm if you would like to see the finished pieces!
