Try-scoring star rounds off Wales’ memorable tour

June 18, 2018

Former Monmouth student, Hallam Amos, completed an excellent summer tour with Wales by scoring a fine try in a commanding 30-12 win against Argentina in Santa Fe.

The former Monmouth School for Boys’ Head Boy rounded off a superb second-half flowing move to dive over for his fifth try for Wales in his 18th Test appearance.

Playing at full-back, Hallam gave another assured display for Warren Gatland’s side who secured their first Test series victory in Argentina since 1999.

Hallam, who didn’t feature in Wales’ Six Nations campaign, can be very happy with his performances during the three-match trip.

The Old Monmothian opened the tour by scoring in Wales’ narrow 22-20 Test victory against South Africa in the USA.

Hallam set up a try for James Davies with a remarkable one-handed pass in Wales’ convincing 23-10 success against Argentina in San Juan before getting on the scoresheet in the second-and-final Test last Saturday (16th June).
