The physics of flight enthuses RAF section

May 5, 2017

On Wednesday May 3rd Alan Shrimpton of the Hybrid Air Vehicle company visited Monmouth in a visit organised by Mr Dunn, to give a talk in the Physics department to the RAF section of the CCF and Physics A-Level students.

This exciting presentation was on the Airlander airship and Mr Shrimpton fascinated the audience with details of how this colossal aircraft manages to fly and also he gave us a tantalising glimpse of the future possibilities for the Airlander, from helping to deliver urgent aid when natural disasters strike to more commercial uses including mining transport and leisure travel.
