November 15, 2019

A team from Monmouth School for Girls has triumphed in a long-running general knowledge quiz.

Daisy (captain), Carys, Joana, and Freya became the first all-girls’ team from Monmouth to win the annual Prep Schools’ Challenge since it was founded in 1980.

The Monmouth School for Girls’ A team, which lifted the Christabel Knight Cup, fought off strong competition from The Elms School in the final and will now be attending the Regional Junior Schools’ Challenge.

Prep Schools’ Challenge Co-ordinator, Miss Sarah Fowler, thanked Mr Gordon Woods who presented the prizes and all the staff who took part, either as quiz-masters or to bring their teams along.
