Talented tenor presents A Midsummer’s Opera Gala

Andrew Henley is a former Music Scholar at Monmouth.

A talented tenor, whose first proper singing commitment was with The Grange’s choir, will be presenting an evening of great operatic arias and choruses in Monmouth this summer.

Andrew Henley, a former pupil at Monmouth School for Boys, is bringing his National Opera Studio (NOS) class to the Blake Theatre on Saturday 30th June from 7.30pm.

Artists from the NOS and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama will perform music by Verdi, Puccini, Mozart and Bizet in A Midsummer’s Opera Gala.

Andrew, who attended Monmouth School for Boys between 2002 and 2009, studied opera singing for four years at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

He is a former Music Scholar of Monmouth School for Boys and a Choral Scholar of Exeter Cathedral.
