Students’ Shakespearean money boxes exhibited

July 2, 2016

Money boxesMoney BoxesFor part of the  400 years celebrations of Shakespeare’s legacy, Form 3 pupils created money collection boxes inspired by those used in theatres, during Shakespeare’s time. These were safely stored in a box (allegedly where the term ‘box office’ originated) and were smashed after the performance so the takings could be counted. These have been exhibited as part of the exhibition in Monmouth’s Saint Mary’s Church.
