Students mark World Mental Health Day

October 10, 2019

Pupils at Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools marked World Mental Health Day on Thursday 10th October.

Mental health and well-being is an important issue for the whole school community.

Two experienced counsellors spoke to students at Monmouth School for Boys and Monmouth School for Girls as part of the important initiative.

Sarah Rogers and Erica Pavord, who both work for Face 2 Face in Monmouthshire, delivered insightful presentations to hundreds of pupils across the year groups.

Sarah has been working as a counsellor at Monmouth School for Boys since 2014.

Monmouth School for Girls’ Women’s Forum members Summer, Lucy and Lily sold ribbons for YoungMinds’ Hello Yellow campaign.

The girls were determined to raise money for YoungMinds, the UK’s leading charity fighting for children and young people’s mental health, on Thursday, 10th October.

Summer, Lucy and Lily also wanted to show young people that they were not alone with their mental health.
