Students’ eye-catching End of Year Exhibition

August 8, 2018

Eye-catching pieces from seven Monmouth students will be showcased in a public art exhibition in the town.

Creates Gallery, in collaboration with Art In Penallt, is hosting this year’s End of Year Exhibition by Monmouth’s talented students.

Monmouth School for Boys’ pupils Wilfrid, Robert, Angus, Harry S, Samuel, Harry R and Jason will have work on display in the Church Street gallery.

“I am thrilled that seven of our talented Sixth Form artists have had their work selected to be exhibited in Creates Gallery,” said Head of Art and Design at Monmouth School for Boys, Mr Matt Peake.

The exhibition preview takes place on Friday 31st August from 4pm to 6pm and is open to all.

The A level artwork, which also includes pieces from pupils at Monmouth Comprehensive School, is being showcased on 1st and 2nd September from 10am to 4pm.

Creates Gallery is an independent art gallery offering original artwork in a relaxed setting.

Mr Peake added: “We would love to see as many people as possible at the exhibition preview but if you are unable to make it, please pop in and enjoy the students’ work when it is being showcased.”
