Monmouth School for Boys will be rededicating its War Memorial in a special service on Armistice Day on Monday 11th November.

The War Memorial was conceived in 1919 by the Old Monmothians to remember the 76 old boys who died in World War One.

Now the school is calling on families whose relatives are named on the memorial to get in touch so they can be part of this 100 year anniversary event.

The War Memorial was opened by Angus Buchanan VC MC, whose extraordinary life before, during and after World War One will be remembered.

The Service of Dedication and Act of Remembrance event, which will include The Royal Welsh regiment and the school’s Chapel Choir, will start at 10am and finish at around 12.45pm.

Families with relatives listed on the war memorial should get in touch with Ms Claire Howes as soon as possible by e-mailing: boys.headsPA@habsmonmouth.org
