Online learning programme for Summer term

April 8, 2020

At Monmouth School for Boys, we will be moving our outstanding educational offer online for the Summer term.

Our new provision at Habsmonmouth Online will give unprecedented support to children and parents, both at home and overseas, in the coming weeks.

We have accelerated our plans for remote learning across our family of schools and are confident that we are equipped to deliver it with the flexibility and adaptability necessary.

Through a range of state-of-the-art educational software, teacher support and real-time guidance, Habsmonmouth Online will be delivering educational excellence in its broadest terms.

Students will be able to interact with teachers either via e-mail or using Teams for senior school children, or Seesaw for our Pre-Prep and Preps.

Habsmonmouth Online includes:
Dynamic teaching and learning online
Enrichment & Life Skills
Pastoral care
Virtual Day
Videos and Podcasts

James Murphy-O’Connor, Principal, said: “We recognise the importance of keeping our wonderful school community together even during the most difficult of times.

“We realise there might be concerns over time-zones, sharing equipment, accessing technology or even the global demand for broadband and websites.

“However, please be reassured that we understand these anxieties and we will be with you every step of the way as we embark on our Habsmonmouth Online adventure together.”

He added: “We have always been proud that Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools are so much more than what happens in the classroom.

“We are very much in operation, despite our buildings being closed temporarily during the coronavirus pandemic.

“Our schools will be ready to open as soon as the government gives us the go-ahead.”
