Despite the disruption to our normal routines, the Rowing Club has been remarkably busy, even if it has all been at a safe distance from each other. For the last month we have had a team in the World Ergo Challenge (run by Concept 2 who make the machines). There were 702 teams from across the world and we finished with a final ranking of 41st (with a total of over 6 million metres). We were placed 21/458 out of the ‘real’ rowing clubs entered, beating perennial rivals Eton College along the way. Ben was ranked 161st out of the 8144 competitors who took part, which is a tremendous individual achievement.

In addition to this we have had live strength and conditioning sessions each week run by Louise Hart, the Rowing Club’s strength and conditioning coach, and as many as 35 people have attended these each time (pictured below). Any non-rowers are particularly welcome to join in. Email or message us on social media for details (twitter @MS_Rowing, Instagram @ms.rowing).
