Passion for languages ignited at university study dayFebruary 2nd, 2016
As the A-Level mock exams are underway and all of the sixth formers have at least one eye on the Summer exams it’s pleasing to see the Spanish students using the fantastic facilities at the University of Cardiff to further their knowledge. On Wednesday January 20th, some of the upper sixth form Spanish students were lucky enough to attend a workshop at Cardiff University’s School of Modern Languages. The workshop was specifically useful in gaining further insight into the playwright and play which they are studying as part of their A2 Level Spanish course- Federico García Lorca’s La Casa de Bernarda Alba. Not only were the boys fortunate enough to improve their knowledge of the play itself, but they were able to gain some useful tips on exam technique, and how to approach the various issues that are raised, from a contextual perspective. Well done to all who took part, and good luck in the Summer!
