MIND delighted with Monmouth’s Got TalentApril 20th, 2016
It was with great pleasure and pride that the Heads of School of Monmouth School, HMSG and Monmouth Comprehensive gathered at Monmouth School to hand over cheques totalling £3243.78 to Christine Bowie from Mind Monmouthshire in Abergavenny.
The money was raised by the fantastic success of Monmouth’s Got Talent*, which brings all three of the Monmouth Schools together in a celebration of music and performance and is always well supported by students, parents and staff alike.
Christine Bowie was particularly impressed with the hard work which had been put in by the Heads of School and the prefects in organising such an event and she was delighted to tell us that the money would be going to help families in the local area as well, more specifically, to help train up call centre operators to be able to identify the signs of depression which could lead to people getting help much more quickly.
Well done to all involved from all of the schools for raising such a fantastic amount of money for such a good cause.
