Students at this year’s Modern Foreign Languages conference, staged in The Blake Theatre by Head of MFL Madame Parsons, were treated to an inspirational message from BBC Newsreader and former languages student, Huw Edwards. Recorded especially for the event and using the BBC Newsroom as his backdrop, he extols the virtues of learning languages for both professional and social use. Many thanks must, of course, go to Huw for finding time in his busy schedule to help inspire the next generation of language learners in Monmouth.
