Hallam’s dazzling autumn for WalesDecember 4th, 2017
Former Monmouth student Hallam Amos is a genuine contender for Wales’ Six Nations opener against Scotland in February.
Hallam, a former Head Boy at Monmouth School for Boys, scored tries against Australia and Georgia and set up touchdowns against New Zealand and South Africa.
The 23-year-old played a total of 256 minutes – more than any other Wales player in the squad – in the autumn internationals.
In Saturday’s final match against South Africa, which Wales won 24-22, the Dragons livewire set up Scott Williams’ opener and made three clean breaks.
Hallam has 14 caps to his name and has taken his chance after an injury to George North.
He now finds himself ahead of Scarlets’ Steff Evans in the pecking order and with a realistic chance of making the squad for Wales’ clash with Scotland in Cardiff on Saturday 3rd February (2.15pm).
