Hallam picked for Wales’ Six Nations campaign

Hallam Amos scores for Wales against Australia.

Former Monmouth student Hallam Amos has been picked in Wales’ 39-man squad for their NatWest Six Nations campaign.

Hallam, a former Head Boy at Monmouth School for Boys, had an impressive autumn series for Wales, notching tries against Australia and Georgia and setting up scores against New Zealand and South Africa.

The 23-year-old has 15 caps to his name and played a total of 256 minutes – more than any other Wales player in the squad – in the autumn internationals.

Hallam has been named alongsisde uncapped Worcester Warriors wing Josh Adams, Steff Evans and Lions quartet George North, Liam Williams, Alex Cuthbert and Leigh Halfpenny.

Hallam, who injured his ankle in Dragons’ Boxing Day loss to Cardiff Blues, will link up with the Wales squad at the National Centre of Excellence on Monday.

Wales begin their Six Nations Championship against Scotland in Cardiff on Saturday 3rd February (2.15pm kick off) and face reigning champions England at Twickenham seven days later (4.45pm).

Wales travel to Dublin to play Ireland on Saturday 24th February (2.15pm) before hosting Italy on Sunday 11th March (3pm).

Wales round off their campaign at home to France on Saturday 17th March (5pm).
