Two Monmouth students clinched medals in junior events at the Welsh Athletics Indoor Senior Track and Field Championships in Cardiff
Aharon bagged a gold medal and Harry won two silvers in the Welsh Athletics Indoor Junior Championship events on Saturday 25th January.
Selected junior events had been brought forward from the main junior competition and the two Monmouth School for Boys’ athletes were in excellent form.
Aharon was part of a strong and experienced Cardiff Amateur Athletic Club team which stormed to a gold medal in the Under-15 Boys 4x200m relay.
Harry, who represented Newport Harriers, also raced in the relay and the four junior members put up a good fight as the team claimed a silver medal.
Harry also ran in the Under-15 Boys 800m and he notched a silver medal behind his older team-mate, Leo Stark.
It was a repeat for Harry, who had won a silver medal, behind Leo, earlier this year in the East Wales Under-15 Boys 800m competition.
Aharon and Harry will be running again this coming weekend in the main date for the Welsh Athletics Indoor Junior Championships.
