The CCF Climbing section are in full competition mode at the moment as they undertook an afternoon of bouldering and climbing at the Llangorse Multi-Activity Centre in preparation for their National Cadet indoor Climbing Competition later in January.

The Llangorse indoor climbing wall will certainly have offered enough of a challenge as it boats 1,580 m2 (17,000 ft2) of climbing surface, which the boys were able to negotiate under the guidance of the centre’s instructors and the helpful advice of their teammates!

If last year’s competition is anything to go by it will be tough challenge with the students having to take part in a knock out competition in which cadets had to speed climb up several technical and very challenging set routes.

Well done to the boys who were honing their skills, and good luck for the competition!
