Environment Management
The William Jones Building is designed to optimize natural ventilation during the summer and minimise heat loss during the winter by making use of a full mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery.
In summer, the building benefits from natural ventilation via the ceiling voids. In winter, stale air is constantly removed; heat is then extracted from the stale air which then aids fresh air intake, resulting in optimised air quality and CO² levels for the pupils.
