6th Formers discuss tolerance and ‘the self’ at RS conferenceNovember 21st, 2016
On Friday 18th of November, students from the sixth form studying RS travelled to Kings College Taunton to take part in a conference organised by Academy Conferences and the University of Oxford. The boys attended lectures on topics such as “the nature of the self- What does it mean to be a person” and “religious pluralism, should we tolerate the religious beliefs of others?’
The boys took part in a panel discussion with Dr Tim Mawson, prof Keith Ward and Dr John Frye on the problem of evil. Dr John Frye chief examiner for the Cambridge Pre-U Philosophy paper was very impressed by the level of the questioning and discussion from the boys. A wonderfully insightful day was had by all.
