6th Formers discuss tolerance and ‘the self’ at RS conference

November 21, 2016

vi-form-rsOn Friday 18th of November, students from the sixth form studying RS travelled to Kings College Taunton to take part in a conference organised by Academy Conferences and the University of Oxford. The boys attended lectures on topics such as “the nature of the self- What does it mean to be a person” and “religious pluralism, should we tolerate the religious beliefs of others?’
The boys took part in a panel discussion with Dr Tim Mawson, prof Keith Ward and Dr John Frye on the problem of evil. Dr John Frye chief examiner for the Cambridge Pre-U Philosophy paper was very impressed by the level of the questioning and discussion from the boys. A wonderfully insightful day was had by all.
